Frequently Asked Questions
There is more than one path to resolution.Mediation is a voluntary or court-ordered problem-solving process. It is your opportunity to make decisions together, with the help of a professional Mediator. You will identify the issues, discuss your positions, and explores possible solutions in a confidential mediation session. The Mediator guides the conversation towards solutions you may agree upon. Arbitration is a private legal proceeding. You identify the issues, present your position and evidence to an Arbitrator experienced in Colorado family law, and the Arbitrator makes a binding decision on the issues submitted for arbitration. It offers a private alternative to presenting your domestic relations matter in a public courtroom and allows you to select the neutral who will decide your case.Comprehensive Resolution combines mediation and arbitration (Med-Arb) in a single service package. Over the course of two days, you will first mediate your issues and work toward resolution by agreement. If an issue remains unresolved, you move to arbitration, where each party has the opportunity to present their position before a final decision is made. Comprehensive Resolution is designed to provide a clear path to the finish line - the flexibility to reach your own decisions where you can, and the security of a decision where you can't. This is our flagship service for complete, out-of-court resolution of your family law dispute. You don't have to compromise on a suitable resolution. You just need the right process to get there.Explore Our Services →

Yes. We call it Comprehensive Resolution (Med-Arb).You don't necessarily need attorneys, months of litigation, or substantial legal expenses to resolve your divorce or domestic relations case.Fourteen hours. Two sessions. One service package.Comprehensive Resolution brings together two established legal processes—mediation and arbitration—to help you resolve your entire dispute privately, with or without attorneys. You'll begin with mediation, where you have the opportunity to make decisions together. If issues remain unresolved, they are submitted to arbitration and decided by the Arbitrator. You retain control over the agreements you reach, with a path to a binding decision on issues you cannot resolve together.
Agreements are documented in writing, and arbitration decisions are issued as written awards, subject to applicable court review and approval.Whether your case is straightforward or complicated, you have a path to complete resolution without unnecessary delay or expense. You can privately resolve your entire dispute without courtroom litigation. You don't have to agree. You just have to agree on how you'll move forward. To use Parley Mediation & Arbitration, all parties must agree to engage the Neutral and participate in the selected service. You don't need to agree on the issues, the facts, or what the final resolution should be before you begin. We'll identify the issues and establish next steps during onboarding. If the goal is to find common ground and reach agreements where possible, Mediation may be appropriate. If you reach a full agreement, you're done. If you resolve some issues but not others, you've still narrowed the dispute and can determine how the remaining issues will be decided. If everyone agrees that contested issues should be privately decided instead of litigated in court, Arbitration provides an out-of-court option for a binding decision. If you want the opportunity to reach your own decisions but also want certainty that unresolved issues will be decided, Comprehensive Resolution (Med-Arb) combines both processes into one structured path to resolution. You aren't agreeing on the result. You're agreeing on the mechanism for reaching one.Put Resolution on Your Schedule →
