Service Description
A limited-issue mediation session (3 hours) is designed for family law disputes involving limited contested issues, focused areas of disagreement, or matters requiring a more streamlined negotiation process. This service may be appropriate for divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, property division, child support, maintenance, post-decree modifications, enforcement proceedings, and other domestic relations matters. Mediation is facilitated by a Colorado attorney serving as a neutral third-party mediator.
Scheduling Policy
Submitting a scheduling request does not confirm service. All scheduling requests are subject to conflict screening, administrative review, execution of the required service agreement, and payment of the required scheduling fee. A non-refundable scheduling fee of $500 per Party is required. The scheduling fee is applied to each Party’s total service fee, and is earned upon receipt for scheduling coordination, administrative review, and reserving the mediator's availability. Each Party’s total service fee is due no later than 14 days before the scheduled service. Cancellations or rescheduling requests received more than 7 days before the scheduled service are eligible for a refund of all service fees paid, less the non-refundable scheduling fee. Cancellations or rescheduling requests received 7 or fewer days before the scheduled service are not eligible for a refund. Additional services requested beyond the scheduled mediation session, such as extended session time or supplemental drafting services, may incur additional charges billed at $500 per hour, allocated equally between each Party. Complete terms are provided in the Dispute Resolution Service Agreement. Mediation is a confidential, out-of-court dispute resolution process designed to help participants resolve family law disputes through structured negotiation and voluntary agreement. Participation in mediation does not guarantee settlement or resolution of disputed issues. Sessions are conducted by secure video conference unless alternative arrangements are made in advance. Participating parties are generally expected to attend the mediation session. Parties represented by legal counsel may have their attorney participate in the mediation process. Parley Mediation & Arbitration serves as a neutral third party and does not provide legal representation, legal advice, or advocacy for any participant involved in the dispute resolution process. Participants are encouraged to consult independent legal counsel regarding their legal rights and obligations.
